SEATTLE – A Seattle food safety attorney has filed a lawsuit against Fred Meyer for a Shelton woman who got sick after eating pre-cut fruit she bought there.
Nancy Green claims she became sick less than 24 hours after eating fruit contaminated by salmonella.
On Monday we reported that pre-cut watermelon and cantaloupe dated between October 25 to December 1 from Fred Meyer, QFC, Rosauers and Central Market should be thrown away.
Attorney Bill Marler says his firm has been contacted by two other people who were sickened.
