MAPLE FALLS, Wash. – Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputies defused a dangerous situation in Maple Falls Monday as a man threatened his neighbors with a gun and fired toward one of them.
They responded to reports of the man yelling at his neighbors in the 1400 block of Green Valley Court at about 6 p.m. as he waved a handgun and fired several rounds.
One person reported hiding in a vehicle that the man was shooting at, damaging several windows.
Officers confronted 61-year-old Anthony Greigo, who initially refused to put the gun down.
They were able to detain him after a few minutes and arrested him for 1st Degree Assault.
No one was hurt.
