MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — Mount Vernon police arrested a man following repeated reports of shots fired within city limits Tuesday night.
Witnesses reported hearing shots near East Viewmont Drive at about 10 PM and again an hour later.
Officers couldn’t locate any suspects following those reports but they spotted a suspicious vehicle after hearing more shots around 1:30.
They followed the driver to a residence and began a DUI investigation.
Police say a search warrant turned up evidence linking the 33-year-old man to the shootings.
There are no reports of injuries at this time.
