BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The new Sehome High School building is starting to pay for itself.
Sehome earned more than $40,000 in rebates from Cascade Natural Gas for installing energy-efficient equipment.
The Bellingham School District worked with Cascade throughout the school remodel’s planning phase to help strategize energy and cost-saving solutions associated with cash incentives.
CNGC says some of the newly-installed equipment includes energy-efficient boilers, condensing hot water heaters and motion-control faucets.
The cash incentives helped reduce the remodel’s upfront costs and now the energy-efficient equipment will allow the school to continuously cut down on utility and maintenance costs.
