SKAGIT COUNTY, Wash. — A longtime Skagit County wrestling referee has received national recognition.
70-year-old Randy Audette earned a spot in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum for his decades of coaching throughout Skagit Valley and neighboring areas.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports Audette will be inducted in September as part of the class of 2021 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Audette was a star wrestler at Burlington High School and later wrestled for Skagit Valley College.
He has been officiating matches for 50 years and plans to continue as long as he is able.
