BAY VIEW, Wash. — The beach at Bay View State Park is open for recreation again after a six-day closure due to bacterial contamination.
Washington State Parks issued a no-contact advisory for the beach in Padilla Bay last week because they found high levels of fecal bacteria in the water.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports the beach is open again as of Wednesday morning after the state agency performed additional water quality tests.
Bay View State Park, west of I-5 and north of Highway 20, is a small park enjoyed by campers, researchers, and wide variety of wildlife.
