MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — A coronavirus testing site in Skagit County is now open to the public.

The site on the Skagit Valley College campus in Mount Vernon is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday to those exhibiting mild COVID-19 symptoms and have registered at Skagit County’s coronavirus webpage.

A spokesperson for the county’s Unified Command told the Skagit Valley Herald testing ran very smoothly on Monday, their opening day.

They tested a total of 193 people on Monday, which is well over their original goal.
