WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – The state Department of Ecology is levying a fine against a Skagit County man for killing lots of fish in Whatcom County’s Bear Creek.
Larry Altos is with the State Department of Ecology says Dennis Spore opened a plug to a farm reservoir in the summer of 2016, releasing muck that filled about three quarters of a mile of the creek.
He says that killed a great number of cutthroat trout.
The department fined Spore four-thousand-dollars.
