BURLINGTON, Wash. – A Skagit County business has settled a claim of environmental violations.
The Washington State Department of Ecology says Burlington aircraft interior manufacturer VT Volant Aerospace paid nearly $38,000 to settle violations that they mishandled dangerous waste.
A 2015 spill at the plant resulted in the release of methyl ethyl ketone.
Ecology says the company has been in compliance with regulations since their 2017 inspection.
