MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — Skagit County is using mobile clinics to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to vulnerable groups.
In addition to operating a vaccine clinic at the Skagit County Fairgrounds, the health department has opened several mobile clinics in an effort to reduce barriers encountered by vulnerable people.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports Public Health first prioritized taking doses to seniors in congregate living situations and now is working to reach the county’s many agricultural workers.
Staff are also preparing to occasionally open the clinic at the fairgrounds after hours, specifically to serve agricultural workers.
