MOUNT VERNON, WASH – The tulips are expected to arrive on time this year, unlike the last couple of years when they were early.

The 34th annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival runs during the month of April.

The Skagit Valley Herald reports the tulips should be up by the end of the first week of April.

The flowers showed up in March during the warm winters of the past two years.

That prompted some people to show up early this year, and leave disappointed.
