MOUNT BAKER, Wash. – A man who ended up in a crevasse on Mount Baker Sunday had to be flown off the mountain.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office says the man was skiing when he fell about 60 feet into the crevasse on the Coleman Glacier.
A helicopter crew from the Whidbey Island Naval Air Station flew the 58-year-old Canadian to Saint Joseph Hospital in Bellingham.
The Sheriff’s office says he has possible head, rib, and wrist injuries.
