OLYMPIA, Wash. — The amount of money available to Washington small businesses impacted by COVID-19 has doubled.

The State Department of Commerce  announced Thursday $10 million is now available to address some of the estimated 25,000 existing applications from businesses.

The Working Washington Small Business grants offer up to $10,000 to businesses with up to 10 employees who can use funds for things like rent and other operating expenses.

The department was overwhelmed with applications and has stopped taking new applications.
