SNOQUALMIE, Wash. — A 3-year-old boy at the center of an AMBER Alert out of Snoqualmie has been found safe.

The alert was issued Sunday night after the boy’s mother allegedly abducted him while he was with his father at an apartment complex.

KING-5 reports the mother jumped into a waiting vehicle with the child and sped away and the boy’s father fired a round at the wheel of the speeding vehicle.

The mother has a court order prohibiting contact with the child.

Snoqualmie Police found the mother and took her into custody around 10 p.m.
