SEATTLE, Wash. — Relentless snow is still hammering the mountain passes as avalanche danger persists.
Snoqualmie Pass has re-opened following a weekend closure due to avalanche risk.

Stevens P ass is still closed from six miles west of the summit all the way to Merit due to high avalanche warnings in effect where a slide covered part of the highway.
Trucker Ernesto Berber told KOMO his trek from Wenatchee to Stevens pass yesterday was the worst he’s seen in 35 years.
WSDOT says they will re-assess the pass today, but conditions leading to high avalanche danger are continuing.
