BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A snow boarder owes his life to a local search and rescue team.
Whatcom Emergency Services said a lone boarder went missing at Artist point on Mount Baker Sunday.
Three hours after that, Bellingham Mountain Rescue Council reported the man had been located in the back country southwest of there, suffering mild hypothermia.
They say he would not have survived the night had he not been found.
