BLAINE, Wash. — Some, but not all, Blaine students may be heading back to the classroom soon.
The Northern Light reports the Blaine School District is working to phase about 100 students into schools by September 21.
The first reintroduction phase will start with those who could disproportionately be affected by remote learning, like preschoolers, students experiencing homelessness or students without internet access.
In an August 31st letter to superintendents, county health officer Dr. Greg Stern recommended that school districts take a cautious approach to begin in-person learning, and he says he supports schools in planning to reopen slowly and safely.
