MUKILTEO, Wash. — Half a million travelers are expected aboard Washington State Ferries this Memorial Day weekend.
WSDOT says that could mean lengthy wait times, especially for those driving on.
The agency reports that last Memorial Day weekend, ridership didn’t quite hit the half-million mark, but they expect this year’s crowd to be slightly bigger.
They expect the busiest travel times westbound Thursday through Saturday and then eastbound Sunday through Tuesday.
The longest wait times are likely to be at the Edmonds-Kingston and Mukilteo-Clinton terminals.
