The state Supreme Court has ruled that a Spokane law exempting the elderly and disabled veterans from local property taxes is unconstitutional.
The court found that the state Constitution requires that all taxes be uniform on the same class of property.
In 2015 Spokane gave the local property tax exemption to senior citizens and disabled vets.
