The Squalicum High School boys soccer team beat Shorewood 5-1 in 3A district play Thursday. The Storm have clinched a berth in the state playoffs. They’ll play for the 3rd or 4th seed against Shorecrest Saturday at 5:00 at Shoreline Stadium.
Three other Whatcom County teams had their seasons end Thursday. Lynden got eliminated by Cedarcrest 2-1, Sehome got knocked out by Liberty 2-0 and Mt. Baker was eliminated by Seattle Academy 1-0.
