CHELAN, Wash. – A popular Washington water park is still closed after a Spokane judge denied it a 14 day restraining order on Governor Inslee’s re-opening plan.
Slidewaters LLC in Lake Chelan had said they planned to open in defiance of the governor’s plan and the court order.
The park is taking Governor Jay Inslee and another state agency to court, saying the stay home order that has shut down their business should not be enforced.
The Freedom Foundation is filing the claim on behalf of the family-owned and operated waterpark.
Under the governor’s plan, Slidewaters likely would not be able to open until at least phase three and Chelan County is still in a revised Phase I.
