OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington Department of Health is now recommending the Pfizer vax for kids age 12-15.

This followed FDA emergency use authorization for that age group Monday.

Dr. Umair A. Shah says the Pfizer shot has proven to be 100% effective for this age group.

This as the state has passed the 6 million mark on vaccine shots given across all brands.

The health department reports orders for vaccine supplies are down, mirroring trends seen nationwide.
