OLYMPIA, WASH. (AP) – A bipartisan group of state lawmakers is supporting new internet privacy proposals.

The measures follow President Trump’s roll-back of internet privacy protections.

Those protections would have made it harder for companies to track and sell their customers’ data.

The bills in Olympia fold internet privacy protections into the state’s consumer-protection act.

Governor Jay Inslee says he supports the efforts.
