BURLINGTON, Wash. – An update to a story we brought you Thursday: The Washington State Patrol is now asking witnesses of a Wednesday night hit-and-run to come forward.

Troopers were called to the George Hopper Road northbound I-5 ramp Wednesday night about 7pm.

When they arrived, they found an injured Good Samaritan there who had stopped to help with a disabled vehicle and had been hit.

The man, identified as 44- year old Porfiro Reyes-Solano of Burlington, died at the scene.

Investigators believe he was hit by a truck that likely has damage to its front, right-side lights.

Witnesses are asked to contact the State Patrol.
