OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — State health officials reported Friday that Washington has reached its goal of vaccinating 45,000 people per day against COVID-19.
The Department of Health said more than 1.8 million vaccine doses had been given statewide.
Officials say that’s 77% of the doses delivered.
As of last Wednesday, the state reported about 16% of Whatcom County residents had received at least one vaccine shot.
Locally, the 7-day rolling average of new first time positive virus tests is at its lowest since December, at an average of 25 per day for Whatcom County as of Friday.
