OLYMPIA, Wash. – The state has released the form teachers and other school employees will have to fill out to apply for a religious exemption to the governor’s vaccination order.

Those who wish to opt out are asked to describe the religion they’re affiliated with.

They then must answer whether their beliefs preclude them from all medical treatments, all vaccinations or just the COVID-19 vaccine.

They’ll also have to describe why their beliefs conflict with receiving the COVID shots.

State Senator Doug Ericksen says the governor has made it next to impossible for someone to qualify for an exemption.

The Republican from Ferndale introduced legislation in January that would have banned vaccination requirements but it went no where in Olympia.

School workers have until October 18th to be fully vaccinated.

That means they’ll have to get the first Moderna shot by by September 6th or the first dose of the Pfizer by September 13th.
