OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) – Military spouses are often forced to take on more responsibility when their loved ones are deployed, but Marlo Braun is taking it to another level.
Her husband, State Senator John Braun, is headed off to training for the US Navy Reserve.

“The rules of the Senate allow for a temporary replacement, designated by a member, when they’re on duty for armed service.”
Marlo Braun agreed to keep her husband’s seat warm in Olympia.
Both are Republicans.
