A Washington State Patrol officer has become one of the latest victims of COVID-19.
The State Patrol said in a statement that 38-year-old Trooper Detective Eric Gunderson passed away Sunday, September 26th after contracting the virus.
Trooper Gunderson worked for WSP for 16 years.
He was most known for his work investigating the 2017 Amtrak derailment in DuPont.
Gunderson is survived by his wife and two children.
