SEATTLE, Wash. — The state’s app alerting users of coronavirus exposures is getting a lot of attention.
KING-5 reports 1.6 million people have activated or downloaded the WA Notify app to their smartphones, which is more than a quarter of the state’s adult population.
The app notifies users when they may have been exposed to coronavirus.
The Department of Health says the app is active and sending notifications.
