BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham Police say a citizen’s tip about a stolen air conditioning unit led to two arrests on drug charges.
During the investigation into the stolen AC unit officers learned 28-year-old Seth Sturgeon and 44-year-old Tarria Conger had Department of Corrections warrants out for their arrest.
Lieutenant Claudia Murphy says they were also both found in posession of methamphetamine.
Officers arrested them last Friday and booked them into the Whatcom County Jail.
The AC unit was recovered and returned to the store it was stolen from.
The incident has prompted an investigation into possible trafficking of stolen items.
