SEATTLE, Wash. — A major storm is headed to the Pacific Northwest.
Weather experts say the storm due to arrive at the end of the week will be the strongest seen in months.
The National Weather Service has posted a gale watch to be in effect in Whatcom County from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and they expect storm force winds to continue impacting the region Friday and Saturday as a strong system moves in.
West winds on Saturday will likely hit Birch Bay and Sandy Point hard.
A wind advisory has not been issued for inland Whatcom County, but meteorologists say we can expect very windy conditions through the weekend.
