BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Meridian High School student who was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of rape was arrested again after another victim came forward.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office booked 18-year-old Jose Miranda-Nolasco into Whatcom County Jail on Tuesday.
Chief Deputy Kevin Hester told the Bellingham Herald that several other victims came forward to report additional cases against the man after his initial arrest on June 3rd.
He said detectives established probable cause in a suspected sexual assault case that occurred in 2018.
Miranda-Nolasco is a senior on the boys wrestling team.
