OLYMPIA, WASH. (AP) – Student journalists won’t enjoy freedom of press anytime soon.
A bill in Olympia had aimed to protect high school and college students’ rights to publish and speak freely in school media.
It passed out of the state Senate, but died in the House.
It failed to make it out of the House Education Committee before a deadline.
