BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Western Washington University students and staff evacuated a campus dining hall Wednesday afternoon after seeing smoke in the building.
A campus advisory email says a worker on the roof of the Ridgeway Commons dining hall was doing repairs with a torch and attic fans were pulling smoke from the torch inside.
The fire department was called as a precaution, but there was no actual fire and no one was hurt.
