BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Sudden Valley man is in custody following a lengthy child sex abuse investigation.
Whatcom County Sheriff’s spokesperson Deb Slater said that the victim had met the suspect at church when they were twelve years old.
The suspect, 61-year-old Richard Bartholomew, is accused of raping the child repeatedly between 2007 and 2010.
Bartholomew was arrested on Tuesday, December 13th, and faces several child rape and molestation charges.
