SUMAS, Wash. — Sumas residents, you may want to keep your toilet seats down this week.
The City of Sumas posted on Facebook Wednesday that city crews will be jetting the sanitary sewer lines for about a week.
They recommend residents keep their toilet seat lids down when not in use to avoid getting bathrooms sprayed with water during the work.
The City says not all toilets will experience the issue — only those with poor ventilation.
