SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. – Sedro-Woolley Police responded after a suspected burglar called 911 on himself on Labor Day.

The department posts that officers contacted a person working in the closed business who told them a man had broken in and was going through things.

The man had apparently called 911 on himself and locked the employee and officers out as they talked outside.

The suspect then made it to the roof and tried to get away by jumping to other roofs.

Officers arrested him after about 45 minutes of negotiation.
