FERNDALE, Wash. – A suspicious vehicle prompted a lockdown at a Ferndale elementary school late last week.

Ferndale School District officials said in a social media post that the vehicle was spotted near Custer Elementary School around noon on Friday, June 3rd.

The school was put on lockdown as a precaution while Ferndale Police investigated.

Following a search of the school and surrounding area, the lockdown was lifted at 12:30 p.m.

No information about the car or its occupants have been released.
