BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The newest homeless camp is now open in Bellingham at the Civic Athletic complex.
Swift Haven at the softball fields on Puget Street started as a temporary tent encampment.
The new camp is being managed by advocacy group HomesNow!
Doug Gustafson is Chairman of HomesNow! and he says the city of Bellingham has committed to finding a long term site for Swift Haven to move to.
The tiny homes for tent campers to move into are expected to arrive this week.
