EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — A man suspected of killing a young Canadian couple on a road trip to Seattle in 1987 was found guilty of murder Friday after only two days of deliberation.
William Earl Talbott was convicted of killing Tanya Van Cuylenborg and Jay Cook before disposing of their bodies near Alger and Monroe, respectively.
The couple’s van was found in Bellingham and investigators say a partial palm print and DNA evidence in the van eventually led them to the now 56-year-old truck driver.
KIRO reports Talbott faces life in prison.
