CHEHALIS, Wash. — Law enforcement arrested 10 people suspected of promoting prostitution as part of “Operation Human Freight” in Lewis County.

The State Patrol says undercover detectives also rescued people who were caught in human trafficking and prostitution situations.

The one-day operation on Tuesday included various agencies setting up at a truck stop along I-5, watching for both suspects and victims.

Those arrested face 2nd degree promoting prostitution charges, and many also had local arrest warrants and may face further charges.
