TERRA Organic grocery store downsizing to keep from closing

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham grocery store TERRA Organic is on its last legs.

Owner Stephen Trinkaus posted on the store’s Facebook page last week announcing the store will downsize due to consolidation in the grocery industry, the internet, and fierce competition.

TERRA sells organic food, vitamins, and other eco-friendly products in the Public Market building on Cornwall Avenue.

Trinkaus urges the community to save the grocer by shopping at TERRA in the coming weeks.

He says he will shrink TERRA and share the space with more local businesses to stay afloat.
