Testing requirement for vaccinated travelers to Canada set to expire

BLAINE, Wash. – Crossing the border will get a lot easier starting tomorrow, Friday, April 1st.

Canada’s COVID-19 testing requirement for fully vaccinated travelers will expire.

Everyone will still need to submit proof of vaccination into the ArriveCAN app.

All travelers will also be subject to random COVID testing.

Since Canada began easing restrictions earlier this year, traffic at the border has been on the rise, but it still hasn’t reached pre-pandemic levels.

Data from both Washington state and British Columbia showed and increase of 2,800 border crossings between February and March.
