BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Blood donors are desperately needed in our region as hospitals resume non-urgent and elective procedures.
The American Red Cross is asking healthy individuals who are feeling well to make donation appointments in order to prevent another shortage like the one in March at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As an incentive, the Red Cross is thanking those who step up to help.
Now through the end of May, those who donate will receive a free Red Cross T-shirt while supplies last and in June, they are giving out $5 Amazon Gift Cards.
Those in Whatcom County interested in donating can visit Bloodworks Northwest on West Bakerview Road in Bellingham.
