LYNDEN, Wash. – If you’re driving south from Lynden, your commute is about to get a lot longer.
Starting Monday, the State Department of Transportation will shut down the Guide between River Road and Wiser Lake Road.
The closure will last from 4AM Monday to 5AM Friday as crews raise concrete and stabilize the bridge.
A detour will take drivers along Birch Bay-Lynden Road.
People crossing the border into Lynden are urged to use a different port of entry.
