OLYMPIA, WASH. – Good news for the State Patrol as a big group of graduate troopers report for duty Thursday.
The agency was having difficulty recruiting people because of low pay, but was recently able to raise salaries.
An influx of 49 recent graduates hit the roads today.
The State Patrol still needs to fill 78 vacancies to reach a full force.
