SEATTLE, Wash. — You might have thousands of dollars stashed in a drawer and not even know it.
The Washington State Lottery says players are sitting on 38 unclaimed prizes worth $10,000 or more that will expire soon.
One is a jackpot of $1.7 million that was purchased in East Wenatchee and will expire next month.
KOMO reports that these unclaimed winnings total $3.8 million.
The Lottery asks that winners of $100,000 or less claim their prizes by mail.
Winners over that amount can make arrangements to pick up their checks in person.
