DEMING, WASH. – A baby and father are dead and the mother is hurt in a Whatcom County wreck on Mother’s Day.
The State Patrol says it was a three car crash on the Mount Baker Highway at Mosquito Lake Road.
The dad and infant were in one car and the mom was in another.

The State Patrol says an elderly man driving a Suburban crossed the centerline and sideswiped the mother’s car, causing it to flip, and then slammed head-on with the father’s car.
The mother, who’s in her 20’s, was taken to Saint Joseph hospital, but is expected to survive.
The driver of the Suburban has life-threatening injuries.
