BELLINGHAM, Wash. — After a months-long investigation, detectives have arrested three suspects linked to pills that killed a Ferndale man in March.
Investigators with the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office found a 31-year-old man dead at his home on Slater Road after an apparent accidental overdose of counterfeit fentanyl-laced prescription pills on March 9.
Detectives investigated his death over the next several months and linked 50-year-old Brezeddric Jamerson of Bellingham, 54-year-old Sheila Johnson of Ferndale, and 55-year-old Kim Ribble of Bellingham to the delivery of the pills.
They located two of the suspects in a hotel in Ferndale Tuesday, took them into custody, and later found $2000 cash and about 100 of the laced pills in their room.
Detectives arrested the third suspect at her home in Bellingham Wednesday.
