YAKIMA, Wash. – The Lynden boys won the 2A title beating Pullman 51-34 at the Yakima Sun Dome on Saturday, March 5th.
Lynden sophomore Anthony Canales was named tournament Most Valuable Player.
The Lynden Christian boys won in Class 1A beating King’s 61-58. LC senior Andrew Hommes was named MVP.
And the Lynden Christian girls beat county rival Nooksack Valley in the 1A girls championship game 57-56 in overtime.
LC star Libby Stump tied a school record with 35 points and was named MVP.
Congratulations to all of the Whatcom County teams that made it to the state tournament, and to all of our local young athletes for another great basketball season.
